Maria Nordström explores architectural lines and structures to design urban shields, creating iconic units of clothes. In the early 90’s a new architectural sensibility challenged the prevailing Post-Modern attitude. At that time, Maria Norström travelled around Europe and experienced cutting-edge archtecture of the deconstructivism movement such as; Rem Koohlas, Coop Himmelblau and Frank Ghery. 



Architecture that laid the foundation to her designs and encourages radical freedom of form in her creative process of today. 02 Shields illustrates the vulnerability that characterizes city life. Maria Nordström unites technical fabrics with luxurious qualities, creating sophisticated yet modern pieces shielding the urban citizen.
